From our house to yours... Tip of the month: “Man Cave” - a place to unwind!
Over the years, we have been spending more and more time in our homes. We build them to be a comfortable retreat from the chaos of the world around us. They become a place to relax, to meditate, to work out, to have some “me” time, as well as share with friends and family. However, this requires a special place – a dedicated space. By definition, a “man cave” is a room in the house, where a man can get away from the pressures and stresses of daily life. It becomes his personal refuge, full of his favorite things. There are many themes that a “man cave” could follow. Some idea's listed below could help you plan for your future “unwinding” space.
- A hobby room, full of your favorite collections or a place to be creative.
- A high-tech golf practice area, indoor virtual reality driving range, to accommodate you in the winter months.
- A wine and cigar room for relaxing with surround sound music or reading nook.
- A pool table, game room and bar – for a night with your buddies.
- A home theater, to watch all of your favorite sports, or watch your a concert video on the big screen, complete with a pop-corn machine
- A sound proofed rock 'n' roll lounge for that “wanna be” rock star in you.

According to a recent survey, there are 40% of homeowners that already have a “man cave” in their homes and another 13% said that they are either in the planning stage or in the process of being built. There is an endless realm of possibilities when it comes to creating that “special” place for you. “Man Cave's” come in all shapes and sizes and range from simple to elaborate.
